Hi,

I would like to open a feature request for allowing to specify GRES (or GPU) in a resource specification for reservations.

See #10856, where it was stated that gres/gpu is not supported at this time.

What I had in mind was something like

tres=nodes=1,cpu=8,gres/gpu=1

or

tres=nodes=1,cpu=8,gpu=1


when creating/changing a reservation.

Hello!

I've been hoping this would get implemented for about 2 years now! Any status on this enhancement? This is necessary as in order to reserve gpus currently you have to essentially reserve the whole GPU node. This is not ideal. Thank you!

Hey Chris -

This remains an unsponsored development request, and as such there is no specific timeframe we expect to implement this on. If a SchedMD customer is interested in sponsoring development then it'll be much more likely to move forward, otherwise, like a lot of other tickets filed under '5 - Enhancement' - this will remain in limbo.
